writer, editor, content development, travel health

Hello, I’m Rachel!

I’m a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a background that brings together clinical practice, nursing education, medical writing, and clinical editing.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University and began my nursing career in bedside care, cardiac rehabilitation, and grant-funded educational programming. I later earned my Master’s in Nursing Education from Western Governors University, followed by my Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Otterbein University.

My clinical career began as an RN in hospital bedside care, followed by outpatient cardiac care. As an APRN, I practiced travel health medicine, where I helped travelers prepare for safe and healthy experiences through individualized vaccination and medication recommendations. From there, I moved into endocrine medicine, with a focus on bioidentical hormone replacement, thyroid health, adrenal support, and addressing health at the foundational level.

Along the way, I discovered another area where my clinical experience could make a real impact: medical communications.

As a medical editor and subject matter expert, I’ve worked with organizations including NetCE, ATI Testing, Ascend Learning, and American Nurse Enterprises (formerly the American Nurses Association). My strength is taking complex, research-based information and turning it into content that is accurate, current, concise, and clinically meaningful.

Whether you need a medical writer, clinical editor, or subject matter expert who understands both the science and the audience, I would love to collaborate.

Let’s connect!

Rachel
